Glenferrie is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Hawthorn, on the Lilydale, Belgrave and Alamein railway lines. Glenferrie is classed as a Premium Station and is in Metlink Zone 1.
It is the eighth busiest railway station in Melbourne based upon passenger boardings, with an average of 11,300 boardings per day in 2009.[1]

Glenferrie is located at the eastern end of the Glenferrie Road rail overpass, which provides station access. Glenferrie is adjacent to the Hawthorn campus of the Swinburne University of Technology.
The station consists of an island layout and side platform; Platforms 1 & 2 (island platform) has a large red brick building housing an enclosed waiting area and toilets, while platform 3 has a semi-large red brick building. A large Metcard ticket vending machine is located inside the station's underpass, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes (up to $20) and coins. Additional coin-only Metcard and myki ticket vending machines, as well as ticket office, are also located inside the underpass.
The station is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.[2]
Glenferrie station opened on 3 April 1882 as Glenferrie Road, and was renamed Glenferrie in the same year.[3] It was upgraded to a Premium Station on 26 February 1996.[4]
